(DIY Peach Shirt, Camilla & Marc shorts, Topshop Socks, Vintage Brogues, Alexander Wang Bag)

Just a few photos Luke took of me the other day before he flew out to Queensland for the weekend. I'm used to coming across hundreds of button up shirts in every print and colour when i go op shopping but i was really taken by this simple peach one. After developing a slight complex about wearing shirts (i over killed them a few years ago) i decided to give mine a fresh makeover by cutting out the shoulders and sleeves. It was super easy and i loved how only a few small cuts could change this look completely, and also how my complex seemed to fade away quite quickly.

Unfortunately it was really windy where we took these photos so it doesn't really flatter my outfit too much - I had to tuck the shirt into my shorts so i didn't resemble a peach balloon half the time! Usually it falls really beautifully from the shoulders down and after altering this one I'm fighting the urge to race around my office and cut up every shirt i have in stock right now.

This amethyst stone double knuckle ring is a sneak peek of some of the amazing creations i have coming for the store from our new jewelry designer in the US. She's a super talented lady and as sweet as pie so i can't wait to introduce you all to her store! Right now she's busy working away on rings like these and they should be available to order in the next two weeks. There will be single and double amethyst stone rings as well as some lovely stone necklaces available. I absolutely fell in love when i received mine so i hope you all feel the same way!

Everything is quickly coming together here and i can't wait to show you all what i've been so busy working on. I have a feeling the next three months are going to be out of control and i'm preparing myself for many sleepless nights. Is it disturbing if i'm actually looking forward to it? Actually, don't answer that. I already know the answer...

After a few days of patiently waiting for the thunderstorms to clear i was delighted to see the sun finally came out to play today. My day started off slowly with a small electrical black out which put me behind by a few hours. It made me realise how much i reply on the internet and my sewing machine these days and i couldn't feel somewhat helpless without anything to do! Luke thought it would be a nice idea to get out of the house and take advantage of such a beautiful day, and who was i to argue? We went to the seaside for lunch and quickly took some photos so i could finally update my blog. You all know how much i dislike shooting when there's no sun so i literally hopped, skipped and jumped at the opportunity!

I've had these See by Chloe scalloped shorts for about two months now but haven't had any appropriate shoes to wear with them. I was getting sick of hearing myself say "This would look perfect with some black platforms" but never doing anything about it so i finally ordered a pair from Topshop. I absolutely adore how simple they are and already know how much they're going to inspire the elegant, minimalistic side of me this season. I live by the whole "Less is more" saying and feel a simple outfit can still be the most effective. There's nothing more feminine than a neutral outfit with your hair pulled back into a top knot, bright red lipstick, and an oversized clutch. Oh and of course, anything by Chloe too :)

The one thing that made this crazy week of work a little more bearable was knowing one of my closest friends was coming back for the weekend. At the moment it's not only me but all of my friends who are extremely busy with building careers so getting everyone together in the same place at the same time is a lot harder than it used to be. It was a warm and beautiful day and exactly the kind of down time i needed. We spent the day playing tennis, having a picnic with too many homemade treats and sugary sweets, and enjoyed the sunlight before an afternoon thunderstorm settled in. Unfortunately, with all my swinging and arm waving, i ripped my top and quickly realised this probably wasn't the most suitable outfit to wear playing tennis. I suppose it didn't hurt getting some overdue exercise though :)

Well i've been so flat out with the store this week i've barely had time to post anything. I know i say that all the time but i've had one of the most productive weeks i've had in about 3 months. What have i been doing? Well not only is the paperwork side of my business all in order but i've been busy prepping the Tuchuzy collection ready for the first meeting with the boutique on Wednesday. I can also confirm a jewelry designer based in the US has just joined the Gary Pepper team and will be creating some amazing pieces for the store! I can't wait to show you her creations and i already know how much you guys will love them :)

It kind of freaks me out when i read those somewhat cliche horoscopes that describe my life exactly at that moment. Today mine said: "Inspiration is all around and now you are taking advantage of it. Other-worldly Neptune portrays your situation in an idealistic light and you find a collaborator who is receptive to your vision. Express yourself and show friends a good time". I've never read a horoscope that couldn't be more precise and i'm extremely grateful to have stumbled across this talented jewelry designer.

Sorry for the super long post but it seems to be getting harder and harder to narrow down each collection to only a handful of items to post on my blog. I am honestly falling more and more in love with every item i sell. Possibly because it's coming into Summer and the vibrant and playful prints are quickly becoming more available to source on my op shopping trips. It's like Christmas here right now and i have hundreds of dresses backlogged for the Summer season so space in my office is running extremely low.

Yesterday we found out the owners of our place have decided to sell and therefor we have 4 weeks to find a new space. It's heart breaking and it couldn't have happened at a more inconvenient time but then again when is moving house ever convenient? We inspected a place yesterday and it could possibly be a blessing in disguise - the two office spaces are just huge and perfect for expanding my store with plenty of built in storage. Either way, it's going to be a stressful next few weeks but we'll make it work. I'm hopeful :)

In the meantime, i'll continue to be listing new stock and this is a little preview of the 120 items i have coming to the store on tomorrow night starting at 7pm! I've decided to list items in lots of 10 every 10 minutes so it's not such a mad rush to find your item within 120 pieces. A lot of girls were disappointed they missed out last time so i hope this creates a fairer chance for everyone. Let's hope it works. Everything will be set buy it now prices again and i have decided to trial tops, shorts, and jackets so i hope you all find something you love!

This heavily bead embellished dress with an open criss cross back is a sneak peek of some breathtakingly beautiful vintage pieces I've been sourcing from a private seller in the UK. They're quite expensive for me to source and i hardly make any profit on them but after seeing the detail, workmanship and quality of each piece can you blame me for getting them anyway? I would rather bring you all amazing vintage like this than make a lot of profit. Why? It's never been about money for me and i think people forget my intentions as to why i do this. To put it simply, i just love it. If i didn't i would have stopped a long time ago. People often say if you had the time you can just go op shopping yourself and find pieces like this (dress below) at a fraction of the price. If this was true i wish they would tell me where they go because out of all the years of op shopping i have never seen something like this sitting in a charity store.

And if you have, my advice would be to snap it up quickly and never let it go :)
