Currently enjoying balconies and best friends, home made cookies, late afternoons, several pennies and a 6:30am alarm. If you're around Terrigal tomorrow, come down to the car boot sale where i will be selling a large portion of my vintage wardrobe for $3- $5 amongst other things like a strawberry bean bag and unicorn painting. Watching strangers buy my belongings gives me a cheap thrill and utter happiness.

Maybe it's the warmth in the air or my half empty bed, looks like another sleepless night. I really wish weekends were longer. Happy Halloween, everybody! :)

Honey, I'm home! Well everyone, my short strip away was exactly that, short. I was reluctant to leave but i am happy, refreshed and feeling a little guilty, actually. Not because i stuffed myself silly with cheese, wine and fudge, but because I only had time to make it to a mere 3 out of 14 possible op shops. But don't worry, I did happen to buy so many new items that i literally wore 6 layers of clothing on the flight home to ensure i wouldn't exceed my baggage allowance. I'm glad i stopped at 3 as there is only so many layers a girl can physically wear.

My weekend away was filled with daisy fields, sitting on cliffs, hitch hiking, home made sushi, road trips, kite flying and hot cups of English breakfast every morning and afternoon. I was in a place where the air is cleaner, the wind is crisp. The people are nicer and the towns are older. A place where little old men will happily refill your petrol and people will comment on the color of the sky and the shades of the grass. When i happened to do so, my mother unknowingly replied "oh yes, the grass is even greener on the other side". And you know what? i couldn't agree with her more :)

Gary Pepper will be heading south for the weekend. Destination: Hobart, Tasmania. I am aching to see my parents but also secretly dizzy from the thought of Hobart's untouched op shops. Hidden behind brick walls and scattered through out the old city, Hobart is a journey not a destination. The boy and i will be flying out at 6pm tomorrow so i'll be back in three days with photos, meadows, new listings and more than likely hay fever. Au revoir darlings, be back soon.

It's 30 degrees outside and any normal human would be outdoors soaking up the sunshine. But not i. Yes, as i was about to hop, skip and jump straight out the front door and onto the sand, i remembered that this store is my baby, and ya'll are my number one's, my numero uno, the dressing on my salad and grapes on my vine. I want you cats to be dressed in only the best kinds of vintage. But before you go start feeling guilty that heaven forbid, i should happen to go opshopping again, i want to show you why it was totally worth sacrificing a little bit of skin cancer to be inside on a day like this.

At my local Vinnies i picked up: 3 pairs of cheap Monday skinny leg jeans, 1 cheap Monday jacket & singlet, 2 gold rodeo show dresses & 1 fringed Natasha Gan top- all brand new with tags. Not so vintage but just as good nonetheless.

Unfortunately, today was not in any way cheap Tuesday, nor Cheap Monday either. But i could not let these items pass. So let me emphasize what i mean by ya'll are my number ones. New listings go up next Wednesday and these items will be listed for cost price. The exact amount i paid for them. er, what? no profit? $40? excited? me too :)

A quick op-shopping trip last Wednesday turned into an all day shopping spree. Not only did i pick up 4 pairs of shoes, 7 bags, 3 pairs of sunglasses (1 with Elizabeth Arden frames) and about 20 worthy items for the store, i also found this beautiful vintage camera with a 50mm lens. Not only did it set me back a cool $2, it also has a roll of used film still in it's case! With a total of 22 photos already taken before my purchase, I'm desperately trying to take photos of anything and everything so i can race to the photo lab and see these 22 photos of somebody Else's life. I'm excited and impatient and i cannot wait to find out. And of course, I'll post the developed photos on here too, kids.
