M A D L O V E .

Last week I was invited to shoot some behind the scenes photos of the first look book for the new Australian label, Mad Love. I met up with Emily from Little Black Book in the early morning and we ventured over the Bondi Burrito where the shoot was being held. I would never have imaged a shoot to be here but as soon as we arrived it all magically fell into place. The brightly coloured walls, Mexican flags, old tequila bottles, quirky murals and yellow dim lit rooms, this really was the best place to compliment this new up and coming brand whose fun and quirky pieces can be described as "Aztec America meets Pop Art". Created by Gill Lawrence (the same designer who brought us Toi Et Moi), Mad Love is "all about the art" and inspired by her travels through Mexico and on to Guatemala and El Salvador and her teenage years. The result is a collection of geometric patterns and quirky graphic prints in an interesting colour palette of black, white, orange and blue, with maxi dresses, long singlets and oversized tee's being a reoccurring summer staple. Mad Love will be available this August, but you can keep up to date with all of their happenings here.

A quick thank you to the lovely Aubrey and Stephanie from The Wonderland for inviting me along to this wonderful shoot, and for letting me try on your incredible fur vest. I'm still swooning at the sight of it and can't believe how incredibly light and soft it is. If only my bank account could afford it.. Sigh.
