There's been several things contributing to my extremely slow progress of getting my new collection up and ready to go this week. First, it's absolutely freezing here and i'm yet to purchase a heater. My body seems to be constantly shaking like a leaf so changing into 130 different vintage inspired outfits is proving itself harder than any other week i've had. I also have a new (and extremely distracting) lens that i'm shooting on which has been a good enough reason to go shoot some photos of freshly painted pastel coloured nails, heart suspenders and slices of lemon meringue the size of my actual head. When the girl looked at me, then looked at the lemon meringue, then back at me and said "The slices are like, huge, like the size of your head" i thought she was joking. This little monster actually gave me a sugar headache, something that hasn't been done since my parents owned a lolly shop for 7 years...
But the main reason fueling my procrastination is that it's fashion week here and i've been glued to my mac all week closely following all of the beautiful collections for SS 10/11. I'm not surprised by my favourites: Dion Lee, Ellery, Therese Rawsthorne and Karla Spetic. Unfortunately, I also found some new eye candy. These amazing gold armor rings by Camilla and Marc and gold encrusted ankle boots by Ellery have my name all over them! As well as these floral vintage inspired swimming caps by Anna & Boy which are more than likely not for sale. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you i've wanted one of those floral caps for years now. Why? To be honest, i don't really know...

Oh God, I stared at the Grand Social page for an eternity thinking about purchasing some of the catwalk Ellery boots, but couldn't justify them especially when described as "fragile".
ReplyDeleteHow amazing has RAFW been? Your faves are my faves. And speaking of similarities, I just ordered those tights from Topshop last week and am eagerly awaiting their arrival!
What lens are you shooting with? It's looking ace!

Those tights are lovely! So cute and pretty.
ReplyDeletethat first picture is so great. As I have recently stopped a terrible nail picking habit, I really need the blogosphere to provide me with constant reminders of why I need to keep my hands pretty. Also I love when hosiery plays trompe l'oeil games like that.
