A few months ago I collaborated with Jysla Kay and spent the afternoon wandering Centennial Park in the rain. Originally this was intended for an 8 page editorial spread but due to some misinterpreted fine print we were lucky enough to be able to keep this for ourselves instead, and share it with our beautiful readers at the same time. It's the perfect way to introduce you all to Jysla, the talented young photographer who I've been shooting with since Luke was away. Luckily for me she seems to be the pea to my pod, with each shoot flowing in perfect harmony and our creative eye completely in sync. The result? A breezy shoot in the woodlands, inspired by vintage past loves, a crisp autumn breeze, cozy afternoons and the haunting voice of Lana Del Rey. "Life is sweet like cinnamon, like a dream I'm living in", which is kind of how I'm feeling right now with a few big changes on the horizon...Photography: Jysla Kay // Hair and Make up: Nicole Warne // Styling: Nicole Warne
Every time I shoot with Zanita I'm always left in absolute awe. She manages to create those images you never thought you were capable of creating, and at the same time provides invaluable guidance with such ease and grace. Every time I get in front of the lens I find myself repeating tips and advice I've learnt from her, which seems to be so embedded into my memory now that for some reason every time I see a bunch of flowers I have to fight the urge to shove them up against my chest! This is an out take from a shoot we did a few months ago which is actually one of my all time favourites now. We've got a few exciting projects coming up so I can't what to see what she creates next, she's an absolute goddess in front and behind the lens!

(Aje Sequin Pants, Zara Shirt, Style Stalker Blazer, Michael Kors Watch, Tony Bianco Heels, Marcs Bag)Never would I have imagined myself to be so drawn to such an embellished and sequin heavy piece, but to be honest I'm such a fan of anything Aje creates I'm not surprised they were the ones to turn me. Known for their striking statement yet highly wearable pieces, with a strong focus on quality, construction, affordability and a touch of sequin embellishments, Aje has been my go-to secret every time I have an important event or occasion (You might remember the rose gold sequin dress I wore to the Cosmopolitan FFF Awards last year here.) The strongest element I have to note is the insane quality of any sequin piece I have by them. The fabric has the perfect amount of elasticity that the sequins quickly mould to your body which feels like a second skin, making it unexpectedly comfortable and easy to wear during the day or night. Bold, but not binding or over the top. I'm highly anticipating their MBFWA debut later this year!
Also, a special thank you to Adrian, Eddie and Bree for helping dress me so last minute for LMFF. These sequin pants are on a whole other level and made me feel shiny and new, even though I was feeling so incredibly ill this day. Nothing beats a touch of tinsel when you're feeling run down.

(Therese Rawsthorne Top, River Island Skirt, Zara Coat, Theyskens' Theory Heels, Vintage Necklace, Michael Kors Watch, Marcs Bag)I've always been a fan of knee length pencil skirts yet never managed to find one I absolutely loved. I'm sure any vintage shopper will know what I'm talking about when I say we come across so many of these during our travels, but usually there's something not quite right about them. It's either an odd fit, odd fabric or they're just odd in general. So when I spotted this scarf print skirt by River Island I was immediately drawn to its beautiful fit, length and unique yet easily wearable print. I've been styling it with this beautiful citrus yellow top by Therese Rawsthorne and an apple green coat to really make the pattern pop, or for business meetings I've opted for a simple white shirt and colourful lip for a more toned down yet youthful look. Only downfall is you can't really walk very fast (this is crucial for me as I'm always running late!) when this particular fabric is so binding. Tempted to make my own split up the back but I know this would just fall into my 'need to-do but will never do it because I don't have enough time' pile. I'm still adamant that I won't let that list defeat me...Photos by Jysla Kay
